So you have taken the 11+ grammar school exams?… but now you need to get ready for second stage and independent school exams.

This means a new exam style. A new process, new timings, new things that your child needs to focus on. And not much time to focus on it.

Independent schools will often test from a much wider syllabus than selective state schools. Typically the exams are both longer and tougher, so it’s important to be prepared when thinking about taking the 11+. Although core topics are broadly similar, based on Key Stage 2, independent 11+ exams tend to have more in depth and taxing “worded problems” questions, especially towards the end of the examination. Questions that may also be used by the school to indicate which students could be potential scholarship candidates.

But don’t panic, The Education Hotel is here to help! Our 11+ specialist tutors will be running a 5 day long online Maths course during the holiday period. These fun group lessons will focus on the tougher areas of the 11+ and how to tackle them.

Is your child taking 2nd stage or independent exams?

❓ Do they have a good understanding of the basics, but is struggling with the more complex questions?

❓Do they need some help and support with Exam Technique?

❓ Are you looking for some structured Holiday revision and learning they have to be accountable and the onus isn’t on you to badger them to work in the holidays?!

YES? Then look no further…
