The Education Hotel’s Courses

The Education Hotel acts to provide courses online and tutors from their team, offering bespoke tuition. The Education Hotel are the owners of the material produced by the Tutors for these Courses.

You (the client) agree to not copy or repurpose the content in any way. Including, but not limited to, distributing recordings of the lessons to friends and family.

You agree not to directly or indirectly engage, or offer to engage, the tutor to provide tuition to you on any basis other than through The Education Hotel.

We regret to have to advise that if you breach this agreement, you agree that you shall pay The Education Hotel the sum of £1000 as liquidated damages and any commission found or estimated to be due. You agree and accept that this sum represents a reasonable estimate of The Education Hotel’s loss arising from your breach of our contract and monitoring for it’s potential occurrence.

Cancellation Terms

All courses will take place online. A register will be taken. If you are unable to attend a lesson, please email info@educationhotel.co.uk so that we can inform the tutor in advance.

Each session is recorded for those who cannot attend the session. If your child did not attend the session, you will be sent a recording of the session. No refunds will be given for a child missing the sessions.

Arriving Late To A Course

Tutors will wait for 15 minutes for students to log into the course. After the first 15 minutes, tutors will not be responsible for letting any late students into the course. If your child is more than 15 minutes late they may not be able to join the session and will be marked as absent. The course will not be restarted for any late student.

If you cannot enter a lesson please take a screenshot and email this directly to info@educationhotel.co.uk with the title ‘URGENT – Course’. If this is within the first 15 minutes of the course starting, our team will try to assist you in joining the lesson.

Accessing The Course

Courses will be run via Zoom. Please ensure that your child has their own login for Zoom, a strong wifi signal and headphones to ensure that they can hear the tutor. Please also ensure that your child has pencils and paper for notes/working out. If your child does not have the appropriate material for the lesson and cannot access the lesson, The Education Hotel will not be held accountable.

Inappropriate Behaviour

We expect our students to conform to polite behaviour. Zoom chat, student usernames etc will be monitored over the course of the week. Any student found to be exhibiting inappropriate behaviour (including rudeness towards others, silly and off-putting behaviour) will be given a warning and then excluded without refund from the course upon the second instance. In the event of a threat made against another student or member of staff, the student will be excluded with no warning. In these case The Education Hotel’s decision is final.

How You Pay

Clients pay a £50 non refundable deposit via Payhip to secure their child’s place on the course. This is followed by a non refundable final payment for the remaining balance payable via Paypal. If the final payment is not paid by the date given by The Education Hotel, you will loose your place on the course and your deposit.

Emails Regarding The Course

The Education Hotel will send emails regarding this course and our other services from time to time. To opt out of our emails, please click ‘unsubscribe’. Please note – if you do this before your course commences, you will not receive vital information about the course.

Complaints

If a client has a complaint against the tutor or The Education Hotel, we regard it as a point of contract that we are informed within 24 hours of the occurrence that gave rise to the objection. If this happens between 6pm on Friday and 9 am on Monday, please email info@educationhotel.co.uk as our office phones are not manned over the weekend or bank holidays. The Education Hotel supplies each tutor in good faith and in the belief that he or she will perform to the best of their abilities. However, we do not guarantee the performance of the tutor.

Payment Of Commission

By engaging a tutor through The Education Hotel, you commit to paying us commission which will be clearly stated in your invoice.

You agree not to directly or indirectly engage, or offer to engage, the tutor to provide tuition to you on any basis other than through The Education Hotel.

We regret to have to advise that if you breach this agreement, you agree that you shall pay The Education Hotel the sum of £500 as liquidated damages and any commission found or estimated to be due. You agree and accept that this sum represents a reasonable estimate of The Education Hotel’s loss arising from your breach of our contract and monitoring for its potential occurrence.

Once The Education Hotel has emailed you the confirmation of the tutor you have agreed to engage, a contract will come into existence between you, the tutor and The Education Hotel.

Late Payment Charges

For an invoice overdue by 22 days or more, we reserve the right to:
• Charge an interest rate of 5% per annum on the outstanding balance.
• Charge an administration fee of £25 for the collection of payment.
• Advise the tutor that he or she stops tuition until the invoice is settled.

In the unlikely event that a bill is not paid, The Education Hotel will pass the matter onto Creditreform. Creditreform may add additional charges to recover monies owed.
