Lucy leads our Primary Tutoring team as our Super tutor, bringing deep experience from London’s independent school sector. She taught for six years at Broomwood Hall School and three years at The Hurlingham School, and has supported children preparing for highly competitive 7+, 8+ and 11+ entry to leading London day schools and boarding schools.

She’s known for making tricky areas like reasoning and problem-solving feel clear and manageable, breaking questions down step-by-step so children build real understanding (not just quick fixes). Lucy also supports families with the bigger picture too, helping children feel confident about exams and, where relevant, transitions such as moving to boarding at a young age.

As a parent herself, Lucy understands what it’s like to want the best for your child. She combines high expectations with a calm, realistic approach to finding the right-fit school.

Lucy is supported by Jemma and Sarah – our in house client managers who help families to find the right tutor – and the rest of the primary tutor team.

Our primary tutoring is designed to build confidence from the very start. We nurture children’s natural curiosity while strengthening the core skills they need academically, with plenty of encouragement along the way. By making learning feel positive and achievable early on, we help children develop a mindset that supports them throughout their education.

Our experienced tutors focus on preparing young students for competitive entrance exams, using tailored support that sharpens key skills and develops confident exam technique. With a proven history of successful outcomes at leading prep and grammar schools, we help children walk into assessments feeling ready and capable.

Our SEN specialist tutors provide calm, tailored support that helps children feel understood, capable, and confident in their learning. Using strategies shaped around each pupil’s needs—whether that’s ADHD, dyslexia, autism, anxiety, or working memory challenges—we strengthen core skills, build independence, and reduce the overwhelm that can hold progress back. With structured, supportive teaching and clear next steps, we help students make meaningful gains and approach school and assessments feeling more secure and in control.

We offer specialist tuition beyond the primary curriculum, for children who want to go further than what’s covered in school. This might be exploring a subject they’re genuinely fascinated by, building advanced skills ahead of their age group, or broadening their knowledge with more stretching, enriching learning.

We provide focused SATs support for Year 2 and Year 6 pupils, helping children feel calm, confident and well-prepared. Tuition is tailored to your child’s needs, strengthening the key skills that come up in the papers, building speed and accuracy where needed, and teaching simple techniques for tackling questions under timed conditions—without adding unnecessary pressure.

We support home-educated children with structured, high-quality tuition that gives parents confidence and children a clear sense of progress. Lessons can follow the National Curriculum or a personalised programme built around your child’s interests, pace and goals, with guidance on resources, next steps, and (where relevant) preparation for assessments or a return to school.

Every primary student begins with a detailed initial assessment to understand how they learn best, where they’re already strong, and what needs building. From there, our expert tutors design a personalised plan that adjusts to your child’s pace and suits their preferred way of learning.

Our tutoring uses child-friendly teaching methods designed specifically for young learners, combining play-based activities with positive reinforcement to keep children engaged and confident. Students follow a personalised learning plan that’s tailored to them and continually adapted to match their pace and progress.

Parents receive a clear report after every lesson, so you always know what was covered, what your child did well, and what to focus on next. You’ll also have access to our Members’ Club, with online resources and subscriptions to support learning between sessions. And if you ever have a question, you can contact our Learning Team at any point for advice and guidance.
