Claire and Claudine lead our Secondary Tutoring team, bringing the perfect blend of classroom expertise and high-stakes exam preparation. Together, they lead our tutors across GCSE/iGCSE and A Level, with a calm, structured approach that helps teenagers feel confident, capable and in control of their progress.

Claire is a fully qualified English teacher (PGCE, QTS) with an MA in English Education, and has taught iGCSE and A Level English Language and Literature. She specialises in exam preparation and structured writing, helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to deliver it under timed conditions. Parents value Claire’s clarity and thoroughness — she breaks down essay structure, analysis and quotation use into step-by-step methods students can actually apply, while also building confidence and reducing exam anxiety.

Claudine is our Maths specialist and an examiner for iGCSE and A Level Maths, with over two decades of tutoring experience and extensive recent teaching across KS3 to A Level (including IB). She is known for her calm, patient teaching style and her ability to spot precisely where marks are being lost — then close those gaps quickly with targeted practice and clear explanations. Claudine has supported successful applications to a wide range of leading independent and grammar schools, and her students consistently achieve outstanding outcomes at GCSE and A Level.

Claire and Claudine lead our Secondary Tutoring team, working alongside subject specialists including  Maths, English, Economics, History and the Sciences. Jemma and Sarah — our in-house Learning Team — help families choose the right tutor, answer questions along the way, and make sure each student’s plan stays on track.

For Years 7, 8 and 9, we offer supportive, confidence-building tuition that closes gaps early and strengthens core skills before GCSE courses begin. This is ideal for students who feel they’ve missed foundations, need a boost in organisation, or want more stretch than they’re getting in class.

For Years 10 to 13, we build the study skills that make the biggest difference: independent revision routines, effective note-taking, memory strategies, time management and exam technique. Students learn how to plan their workload, revise efficiently, and perform under timed conditions without burning out.

For GCSE and iGCSE, our tutors provide targeted preparation aligned to the relevant exam board, focusing on the topics and question styles that come up most. We teach students how to pick up marks reliably, reduce avoidable mistakes, and build the confidence that comes from knowing exactly what to do in the exam hall.

For high learning potential students, we offer extension tuition that goes beyond the classroom. This might be deeper subject exploration, higher-level problem solving, scholarship-style challenge, or building an academic profile for competitive schools and future university pathways.

We support home-educated secondary students with a clear learning plan, expert teaching and ongoing guidance, whether you’re following the National Curriculum or a bespoke pathway. Tuition can include curriculum coverage, assessment preparation, and structured progression towards functional skills, GCSEs, iGCSEs, A Levels or SAT’s for USA. We also work with home educated students who are currently EOTAS.

Our SEN specialist tutors provide calm, structured support for secondary students with needs such as ADHD, dyslexia, autism, anxiety or processing and working memory challenges. We adapt pace and method, build independence, and put practical strategies in place so students can access the curriculum and feel more in control at school and in exams.

For A Levels and IB, we provide high-level subject tuition that develops deeper understanding, stronger exam technique and more mature academic writing and problem-solving. Students are supported to keep pace with demanding content, improve performance on exam-style questions, and approach mocks and final exams with clarity and confidence.
